Notes on the Photographs
First impressions:
This photo portrays the mind of an adolescent
young lad who proceeds to reflect on his emotions that were just over a
year ago. For you see, when he fisrt discovered this new and mysterious
place, everything was somewhat out of focus you could say and this bothered
him immensely. So every time he saw this scene, an extra pain had been
inflicted mentally and reminded him of how things had changed. Yet now,
he is so fond of this place and every time he sees it, it reasures him
that instead of hatred for this place, he now experiences joy.
Living with Felix:
This particular photo displays the arrogance of a young man and how
he changes his whole attitude to life. At the moment, a long time friend
of his and current lover is trying to dip into Felix's emotions and find
his feelings for her. As Henrietta attemps this, Felix decides to start
day dreaming and begins to ignore her and think of other things. He later
discovers that Henrietta refuses to be treated as such and leaves him.
This not only triggers his mind but also his emotions and he realises that
he must change his ways. Yet it is a lost cause and Henrietta no longer
wants to speak to him and so Felix and Henrietta never cross paths again.
Head to Head:
This photo shows the remains of a dual carried out by two men who had
the same interists but completely different prospects. They both enjoyed
making wooden and metal antiques at an early age and they met in a tafe
in a course designed to aid these artistic people. When the course had
finished, they decided to join forces. They decided to build a little cottage
where they could both create and sell their works. Yet one of them had
huge dreams for the place. He wanted to go nation wide, and then international.
He wanted fame and fortune. Where as, the second member was quite content
in just keeping their business to that shop. He was happy with just doing
what he loved best and earning enough to get bye.
The two quarelled for months until it got so overheated that they decided
to have a dual like in the old western movies. Back to back, 10 paces away.
Two shots were fired.
The ending is up to you.
Calum and the Unknown:
This story is about two dogs. I was casually walking along the beach,
slowly letting my beautiful fish and chip, lunch digest, slowly taking
photo's with a Nikon fe when I came across a nice midle aged women walking
peacefully along the beach. She was accompanied by two dogs that were obviously
of the same breed. The larger and eldest of the two dogs name eludes me
yet the smallest of the two had only just been born a mere 7 weeks ago.
It was nameless and very disobediant.
Being the nosey kind of individual that I am, I asked if I could take
a picture. She agreed and I hit the shuter release. I met this kind lady
again in the town of the city I was exploring, because she owned a shop.
We chated for a while longer and she informed that she named the little
one after me. I suppose it was because she thought that I was disobediant.
Face Pollution:
This photo is taken on one of the beaches in Byron Bay. It's taken
from a trail that has led up from the beach and parked itself right there.
I decided to name it Face Pollution because at the time I had my walkman
on and I was listening to a band called Soundgarden. The song I was listening
to was Face Pollution.
Mars Bars and Movies:
This photo represents 2 children walking home with a bag of goodies.
They have the latest Sylvester Stallone movie with a bag of Mars bars.
They look forward to the night to come.
